Mailing list
If you are not a member but you would like to hear about our open events, join our mailing list. We won’t spam you inbox and you can opt out anytime.
Social media
Follow the network updates on TwitterFacebook or LinkedIn or join our Discord or Slack channels.
Add the hashtag ‘#ilrn’ to your tweets and posts about immersive technologies, events, learning, etc. and we will promote your tweet/post to iLRN followers.
Wiki Knowledge Base
Effective immersive learning experiences are created within multiple media using myriad techniques and employing a wealth of knowledge that spans many disciplines – including, but not limited to: computer science, user experience and media design, the learning sciences, architecture, game development, artificial intelligence, biology, medicine, and the thousands of disciplinary and occupational content areas wherein immersive learning and training may be relevant.

Collaborate with us and submit examples of effective immersive learning environments to help iLRN situate, analyze, vet, and share the aggregate results with everyone via our Knowledge Base. Submission form available here.

The Versatilist Podcast
“The Versatilist” is the official podcast of the Immersive Learning Research Network, covering and discussing both the latest news in immersive learning across the disciplines as well as hosting guests who do important work in various capacities in this emerging field of expertise.

Doing work in Immersive Learning? ILRN would love to interview you and feature your work on an upcoming episode of The Versatilist!

The first step is simply to join the ILRNetwork. Next, send us a short overview of your present and past work and your affiliated institutions (if you have any). Our producers will be in contact with you to arrange for the interview and we’ll get it published as soon as we can! More information here.

iLRN Online Newsletter
The iLRN Online Newsletter is an open resource for members to contribute to the network. It contains news and information from iLRN members. If you would like to contribute, write a blog (max. 500 words) about an event, new technologies, etc. and submit it via email to us (

Special Interest Groups
Join one of the open Special Interest Groups, or if there is no group about your particular interest propose one!

The topics for these groups can range from specific research topics around different technologies (e.g. Augmented Reality), through to discussions about architectural principles applied to immersive world design.

Join us to one of the multiple events we run through the year, meetups, webinars and conferences. We also run an annual iLRN conference which we intend to make a vibrant and interesting forum for discussion and sharing of our research and best practice in this emerging field of immersive education. Also it should be a lot of fun!
