iLRN 2016 Registration

Immerse yourself in the sun, surf, and emerging research in immersive learning this June 27 – July 1 in sunny Santa Barbara, California! The Immersive Learning Research Network’s Second Annual Global Conference is open for registration.

  • Send us a couple of presentation slides for the Ignite Intros on Monday!
  • Set the tone of this Heroes Journey by diving into Immersive Learning Futures Scenarios: lay the seeds of the emerging future!
  • Bring your research, your VR headgear or other immersive tools, and a board game for the Immersive Play Lounge!
  • Bring your swimsuit and a towel to immerse yourself in the southern California surf!
  • Put on a costume & attend the ILRN 2016 Awards Banquet and Costume Ball!
  • Take a tour of the University of California – Santa Barbara campus virtual reality labs!
  • Come downtown, tour a successful local VR business, walk along the pier, and have dinner with us as the sun sets on the Pacific Ocean!

Conference Registration

All attendees are required to register for the event they are attending. Each published paper requires one full registration. Presenting authors, participating co-authors, committee members and session chairs are not exempt from paying registration fees. A maximum of two extra pages per paper are allowed, at an additional charge per extra page.

NOTE: Students with proof of a current university or college identification are eligible to receive a $100.00 USD discount on registration at the above rates. In order to apply for this option, we require a copy of a valid ID that certifies the full-time student status.

Registration fee includes:

  • Access to all ILRN 2016 events from June 27 – July 1
  • One paper registration (4-6 pages for short paper or 10-12 pages for full paper), if applicable
  • One annual individual membership to the Immersive Learning Research Network
  • One ticket to the ILRN 2016 Awards Banquet and Costume Ball

Accomodation + Meals

The best way to immersive yourself in ILRN 2016 is to stay on the beautiful campus of The University of California – Santa Barbara!

As part of our agreement with the University of California Santa Barbara Conference Services, ILRN is able to offer 2016 Conference Attendees an extremely comfortable and affordable stay in the Anacapa Residence Hall, including award-winning meals. More information about the venue here.

  • Accomodation in the Anacapa Residence Hall at The University of California – Santa Barbara.
  • Award-winning meals as described below.
  • Registered ILRN Attendees not lodging in the Anacapa Hall who would like to eat one or more meals in the dining commons (listed below) with other attendees may purchase individual meal tickets for $12.00 each.

Additional guests

If a guest/spouse will accompany you in an Accommodation+Meals package, the double-occupancy package rate must be paid for each person.

If your guest is not registered for IRLN 2016 or in an Accommodation+Meals package, meals must be purchased separately.

Additional tickets for the ILRN 2016 Awards Banquet and Costume Ball can be purchased at $100 per ticket.

Visas

If you need an invitation letter for visa application, please send us an email to info@immersivelrn.orgproviding us with the following information along with a copy of your registration payment: Title, Full name as it appears in your passport, Gender, Date of Birth, Full Address, Email, Citizenship, Passport number with date of expiry. If you are an author of an accepted paper please also include the paper ID.

Please take into account that we won’t be able to provide you with an invitation letter, unless you send us a copy of your payment.
