Description
This Special Track addresses the iLRN Community of Scholars' two sets of Grand Challenges in Immersive Learning. It aims to explore and dissect the critical challenges facing the emerging field of Immersive Learning itself, while simultaneously investigating how Immersive Learning can contribute to solving the grand challenges facing humanity and our world. This dual focus will provide a comprehensive view of the current state and future potential of immersive technologies in education and global problem-solving.
By bringing together experts from diverse disciplines, this track will foster interdisciplinary dialogue and collaboration. This Special Track will engage the iLRN community through this inaugural Circle of Scholars group to highlight the possibility space and issues facing Immersive Learning as an emerging discipline, while addressing pressing global issues such as climate change, healthcare accessibility, social inequality, and more. The track will serve as a catalyst for identifying research priorities, technological advancements, and practical applications that can drive the field forward and maximize its positive impact on society.
