After a career in public education serving as a science and math teacher, elementary principal, high school principal, assistant superintendent, and associate state superintendent, Dr. Joe Parlier extended his career in the private sector supporting schools in the implementation of reform initiatives and emerging technology. Dr. Parlier’s research interests relate to improving student learning and school performance through a comprehensive improvement planning.
Dr. Parlier’s experiences range from rural to urban settings with a concentration of work on turning around low performing schools with diverse student populations and economic challenges. Dr. Parlier’s current role as Senior Director of zSpace Education Solutions allows him to work with schools across the United States and internationally on comprehensive planning to integrate AR/VR technology into their curriculum. Additionally, he enjoys the opportunity to work with educators and engineers to design content that engages students in experiential learning.
