iLRN’s annual conferences provides an intensive face-to-face opportunity for the emerging immersive learning professional community to collaborate and create the future of immersive learning and planting seeds of innovation locally in the education, technology, and entertainment sectors. Our different proceedings and publications capture this.
iLRN produces three types of publications:
- Conference Proceedings (Full Papers) – Selected high quality papers from the main track and from the special tracks are published as full papers in Springer’s Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS) conference proceedings series. Acceptance rate for the Springer proceedings is approximately 35 % of the submitted papers. Published once a year, following our annual international conference.
- Online Proceedings (Full & Short Papers, Workshops and Poster Abstracts) – The remaining accepted contributions are published in iLRN’s online proceedings volume, with individually linked DOIs and an overall ISBN number. This open access proceedings volume is published by iLRN via the publishing house of the Graz University of Technology (Austria) and is not yet indexed by SCOPUS. This is published once a year, following our annual international conference.
- Journal Special Issues (Extended Full Papers) – A select number of manuscripts published in either of the proceedings volumes are invited to submit an extended version of their conference papers for publication in a special issue of a JCR-indexed journal in Educational Research or Technology & Computer Science.
All contributions undergo a rigorous peer-review process.
